PERFORMANCE TIME
The Talent Show will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Fort Mellon Park, 600 E. 1st Street, Sanford, FL 32771 - near the beautiful shores of Lake Monroe.
Contestants must report to stage area 30 minutes prior to the start of the talent show. Make sure you check in with the person in charge. Make sure to give your CD to the sound booth.
AGES
The Talent Show is open to all ages 6 and above. There will be three age divisions:
Junior 6-12
Teen 13-17
Adults 18 up
Contestants will compete only with those in the same age division.
The Talent Show is open to both individuals and groups. A person may appear in only one act. The Talent Show is open to amateurs only.
TALENT & GROUP BIO
Please bring a brief, clearly written introduction card to the performance with your name, age, a little bit about you - and what you are performing, name of song. The emcee will use this to introduce you to the audience.
JUDGING
The contestants will be judged by a 3-Judge panel. Judge’s decisions are final. Trophies will be awarded when winners are announced on stage.
Talent will be judged on the following criteria:
Poise = 10pts (confidence, covers mistakes, etc.)
Physical Appearance = 10pts (neatness, costuming)
Stage Presence = 10pts (audience appeal, smile, etc.)
Overall Impression = 20 points
Talent = 50 points (musicianship, ability)
Total Overall Points = 100 points
AWARDS
The following awards will be presented in each age division of the Talent Show:
1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place
GUIDELINES
Talent Competition Rules and Regulations
Acts will be allotted no more than FIVE (5) MINUTES to perform.
Acts will be PENALIZED if time is exceeded.
Participants may only perform ONE time during the show. Any participant who participates in more than one performance will disqualify both acts.
NO profanity or vulgar lyrics in any vocal performance or dance music. This is a family show!!!
NO nudity allowed! Keep attire at a respectable and tasteful level.
NO alcohol, tobacco, or drug advertisements are to be shown on any clothing.
NO pyrotechnics, open flames, or any other dangerous additions.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THESE RULES! RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE TALENT COMPETITION ORGANIZERS.
